Kristina Dyer, LCSW, LCDC
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. My experience ranges from working with the homeless population as well as in residential, psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings for mental health, substance abuse and eating disorders. I work primarily with adults who are struggling with trauma, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, eating disorders, perfectionism, self-compassion and life transitions. My approach is trauma focused, and I am EMDR and brainspotting trained.
My goal is to support you on your journey with compassion and empathy through a collaborative relationship that will help you evolve into the best version of yourself. I will help explore the life course and challenge you to discover pivotal moments, behaviors and thought patterns that will allow you to live a life in which self-esteem and self-worth reflect in everyday decision making. My approach is client centered, humanistic and holistic.
A little about me: I am a Fort Worth native, married, with two very rambunctious heelers who keep us extremely active. I enjoy spending time with family, being an aunt, baking, and reading. I am happiest when I am staying active, enjoying the outdoors, or gardening! I have walked through and recovered from my own eating disorder and childhood trauma and I truly believe that joy and freedom can be found through the healing process.
