Cheryl Nichols, lmft Associate, supervised by RYAN LLOYD, PH.D. ABD, LMFT-S, LCDC
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the State of Texas and earned my Master of Science from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and am a certified facilitator of the PREPARE/ENRICH program for couples.
With experience helping clients navigate relationships and life transitions, I’ve worked with tweens, teens, individuals, families, and couples. My systemic therapy approach recognizes that no one exists in isolation—we’re all connected to our families, communities, and relationships. We’ll use that perspective to help you thrive.
I believe therapy should be a space of non-judgment, unconditional support, and real, meaningful change. You are the expert on your own life, and my role is to help you find solutions that actually stick. My style is warm, accepting, and collaborative because, let’s face it—life can be tricky, but you don’t have to figure it out alone.
When I’m not in the therapy chair, you’ll probably find me reading a good mystery novel, binge-watching Doctor Who, or collecting new recipes (most of which I’ll never actually make!). I’m married in a blended family with two incredible teenagers—a son and an awesome bonus daughter—plus two dogs and three cats who keep us on our toes. We love camping trips, board games, and cozy movie nights. I know firsthand how tough it can be to find balance in life, and I’m here to support you as you navigate your own path forward.
